Bread and water

“Air Malta workers were recently
told by chairwoman Maria Micallef
they will need to do more sacrifices.”

(Times of Malta 21 July 2015)

So who am I to complain when I get served bread and water on an Air Malta flight? My stomach can survive a few hours on a spartan diet when I know that the airline’s employees have their job on the line.

” … company chairwoman Maria Micallef has employed a full-time driver on the company’s payroll.”

(Times of Malta 21 July 2015)

Oh, she fed me bread and water so that she can employ – on a position-of-trust basis – a full-time driver. That’s most annoying really, and I’m only an occasional passenger.
